Using cutting edge technology to battle the world’s oldest disease.
I was a founding member of the 'Malaria Creative Council', a group of agencies who came together with Charity Malaria No More to raise awareness on the fight against the world's oldest disease.
First we created the world’s first petition you could speak. A voice-powered call to action against malaria, fronted by David Beckham—who, using early deepfake AI, spoke nine languages in the voices of real malaria survivors. In 2019, this was bleeding-edge technology, used not for fear or fame, but for good. No guilt trips. No sympathy porn. Just the belief that if enough people raised their voices, leaders would listen.
20,000 people said “Malaria Must Die” in the first hour. The film was broadcast across 37 African nations, picked up by global press, and shown in lectures by Microsoft, LinkedIn, and beyond. The roar of those voices helped unlock over £14 billion in international funding for the Global Fund.
Later, during lockdown, we worked with Digital Domain to make an uplifting future announcement—an aged Beckham revealing malaria had been defeated. A vision of victory, made tangible by collective will.
A once in a lifetime client.
