A long running joke, turn into branded runner game, can you get Alan to Cheltenham?

Get the 8bit between your teeth. A long-running joke became a branded game starring fast-running Alan Brazil. The Scottish broadcaster regularly misses the final day of Cheltenham for a whole list of excuses. Each of these excuses became an obstacle in the game. talkSPORT is a fandom brand, so we leaned hard into the references and famous faces. Brazil’s co-presenters and even his wife became characters in the story. The cutscenes hark back to a simpler time in gaming, but we made them in a very modern way. A vibe-coded editor turned stills into JSON code. A great challenge and great for the file size. By far the cutest part of this project was creating a fully functional arcade unit.
